shameless self promotion

It’s a little hard to get started here. I think that in order for a blog to be successful, you have to update daily (and I am sort of lazy) and you need to be willing to bare your soul a bit. That might take some doing. I really am sort of a private person. But I do love sharing inspiration. I started this sculpture with the idea that I am in love with the basket and how it defines it’s space by it’s existence. By building the basket, I create a space and build the parameters around it. The more this one looked pear-shaped, the more it looked like a middle aged woman. So, it became me. You can tell because of the blue eye. Right? Anyway…. here it is… ‘the portrait of the artist as a basket’
